Earrings with French Hook Earwires
I provide a complimentary pair of jewelers' quality, hypoallergenic, clear rubber earwire guards attached to every pair of earrings I sell that have French Hook Ear wires.

The French Hook style of ear wire is designed to be worn with earwire guards, and the earwire guards is to be worn with the earring at all times, in order to keep the earring securely in your ear while it is worn.

If you wear this style of earwire without the rubber earwire guard, or happen to lose one or both earwire guards while the earrings are being worn, you run the risk of one or both earrings "falling out of your ear", and the earring(s) may be lost as a result.

Since Hi-Strung Designs Jewelry has no control over the circumstances under which earrings are cared for or worn, or or the accidental circumstances under which they may be lost or misplaced as you go about your daily life activities, we can't accept responsibility for lost earrings, but you may be able to purchase a replacement earring.

I know how frustrating it can be to lose a favorite earring, and if I have all of the materials available that were used in the design of your original earrings, you have the opportunity to purchase a replacement earring or pair of earrings. Please scroll down for information regarding the replacement cost of one or both earrings.

Earwire guards, in p
ackages of 10 or 20 pieces, are also available for purchase, so that you can have some on hand if you need them.

Earring with Leverback Earwires
Leverback earwires have a small spring in the earwire, and are designed to be worn by gently closing the back of the earwire after putting them on.

Replacement Cost for One or Both Earrings If the Design is Currently Available on My Website:

Replacing both earrings:

If the earring design that you need a replacement for is currently available for purchase on my website, and you have lost both earrings, you may simply order a new pair, at the price that is shown, plus tax (if applicable) and shipping. Most of my earrings are pictured with French Hook earwires, but prices are shown for both French Hook and for Leverback earwires if the design is available to be ordered on either style earwire.

Some earring designs are best suited to a French Hook style of earwire. If the earring is shown with French Hook earwires and you are interested in finding out if it is available to be re-designed with a Leverback earwire (for an additional charge), please
contact me to see if the design is conducive to that style of earwire and for a quote for the re-design, plus tax (if applicable) and shipping.

Replacing one earring:
If you have lost only one of the earrings, the cost for one replacement earring with the same style earwire, will be half the price that is shown, plus tax (if applicable) and shipping. Please contact me to arrange to purchase a replacement earring.

If you originally purchased the earrings with French Hook earwires and the design is not shown as available on Leverback earwires, but you are interested in finding out if the design is available to be re-designed with a Leverback earwire (for an additional charge), please
contact me to see if the design is conducive to that style of earwire. If it is, you will be responsible for sending back your remaining earring (at your expense), and for the cost of the re-design for both earrings,  plus tax (if applicable) and return shipping.

Replacement Cost for One or Both Earrings If the Design is No Longer Available on My Website:

If the earring design is no longer available on my website, and you have lost one or both earrings, please
contact me to discuss whether a replacement is possible. If I still have all of the materials used in the original design of the earrings, I am happy to provide you with a quote for the cost of replacing one or both earrings, plus tax (if applicable) and shipping so that you can enjoy the earrings again!

Replacement Ear Wire Guards for French Hook Earwires
Earwire guards should be replaced when they show signs of wear, or if you have lost the pair that came with your earrings. In these situations, I advise against wearing the earrings until such time as you purchase new earwire guards for them. Replacement earwire guards for this style of French Hook earwire should be rubber, not plastic. I offer packages of jeweler's quality, hypoallergenic, clear rubber earwire guards that are the correct size and style for the French Hook Earwires, so please
contact me to purchase.
